Collaboration

ReLeaf collaborates on projects with the City of Greenville. Shade (canopy) trees are planted in a joint effort with the Departments of Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Planning and Community Development, and the Community Appearance Commission. ReLeaf and the city choose suitable trees for a given site. With funds donated by the community, ReLeaf purchases the trees from area nurseries. The city then prepares the site and plants the trees.

ReLeaf also has collaborated with the State of North Carolina's Department of Transportation and Division of Urban Forestry. ReLeaf carefully adheres to the City of Greenville Vegetation Code (download - PDF 508KB)
