ReLeaf Arbor Day
Arbor Day is a nationally celebrated observance that encourages tree planting and care. National Arbor Day was founded by J. Sterling Morton in 1872 ("The History of Arbor Day").
In Greenville, essays are submitted by fourth and fifth graders from Greenville elementary schools. The winners read their essays at the Arbor Day celebration. They receive ReLeaf medallions, certificates, t-shirts, and a one-year family membership.
