About ReLeaf

Advocates for a Greener Greenville

ReLeaf was established in 1990 to plant, promote and protect canopy trees. ReLeaf helps to reverse the effects of deforestation and increase the positive appearance of public and common areas in Greenville. To accomplish these goals, ReLeaf partners with the City of Greenville by purchasing trees which the Public Works Department plants throughout the city. ReLeaf is a community-based, volunteer and nonprofit organization.

In 2004 and again in 2011 ReLeaf received an award from the Greenville Community Appearance Commission for its work in planting trees on city streets and parks. In 2006 ReLeaf received the Environmental Awareness Award from the Greenville Environmental Advisory Commission for its work.

Commemorative Tree Sponsorship

Consider sponsoring a commemorative tree as a living and enduring tribute to a special person. Your $100 tax-deductible donation provides for the purchase and installation of a tree in ReLeaf’s annual planting program. Names of those honored or memorialized are displayed in the ReLeaf Commemorative Book at Sheppard Memorial Library.
