Love a Tree

ReLeaf’s Tree Stewardship Program

These events bring neighbors together to care for young trees planted during our Community Tree Days and Arbor Day celebrations. By lending a hand, you help ensure that the trees we plant continue to grow healthy and strong for years to come.

At each event, volunteers may:

  • Mulch around young trees

  • Remove or restake support materials

  • Prune to encourage healthy growth

  • Replant trees if needed

  • Learn simple tree care techniques

ReLeaf provides all supplies and guidance—just bring yourself, a friend, and a willingness to get your hands in the dirt.

Why it matters

Caring for young trees is just as important as planting them. Stewardship protects our investment in the future and supports tree equity—the idea that all people deserve access to the many health, environmental, and social benefits that trees provide, no matter where they live.

What to expect

Love a Tree events are fun, family-friendly, and hands-on. You’ll meet neighbors, make new friends, and walk away knowing you played a part in making Greenville a greener, healthier community. Some events even wrap up with snacks or a visit to a local spot for refreshments.

Join us at our next Love a Tree event and help care for the trees that care for us.
