For Community Tree Day 2024, we added 44 trees to the landscape in the Kearney Park neighborhood. Most of the trees are native selections such as Overcup Oak, American Elm, Redbud, Sweetbay Magnolia and Native Fringe Tree. The native selections are expected to contribute to the biodiversity of the environment and the trees themselves will benefit the residents in and around the neighborhood.
With the help of City of Greenville’s Public Works Department, Greenville Housing Authority, ReLeaf members and other members of the community, the trees were planted in less than 2 hours.
