To help Greenville become a city that balances residential and commercial growth while making use of one of the Earth’s finest resources … Trees!
Greenville, NC continues to grow greener by the month, as ReLeaf continues to promote and develop tree planting projects throughout the City. Your contributions and support make all of this possible, and we thank you for your interest in preserving the natural beauty of our City. Planting trees can be a very expensive endeavor, and we are grateful for devoted members like you, that make it possible to continue to stretch our tree borders throughout the City of Greenville.
Consider sponsoring a commemorative tree as a living and enduring tribute to a special person. Your $100 tax-deductible donation provides for the purchase and installation of a tree in ReLeaf’s annual planting program. Names of those honored or memorialized are displayed on a plaque in the Washington Street Lobby of the Municipal Building at 201 West Fifth Street.
ReLeaf collaborates on projects with the City of Greenville. Shade (canopy) trees are planted in a joint effort with the Departments of Public Works, Parks and Recreation, and Planning and Community Development. ReLeaf and the City choose suitable trees for a given site. With funds donated by the community, ReLeaf purchases the trees from area nurseries. The City then prepares the site and plants the trees.
ReLeaf also has collaborated with the State of North Carolina’s Department of Transportation and Division of Urban Forestry.
