Past Projects

Growing Greenville, One Tree at a Time

Since 1990, ReLeaf has led projects that bring more trees to Greenville’s neighborhoods, schools, and parks. Each project reflects our mission to plant, protect, and promote trees while building stronger connections between people and place.

Our past projects include:

  • Community Tree Day – Annual mass tree-planting events where volunteers add dozens of trees across Greenville neighborhoods.

  • Arbor Day Celebrations – Partnering with schools and city leaders to educate students, honor essay winners, and plant trees together.

  • Love a Tree – Stewardship days dedicated to caring for young trees through mulching, pruning, and maintenance.

  • School Partnerships – Tree plantings and educational programs that teach students about the benefits of trees and urban forestry.

  • Neighborhood Plantings – Collaborative projects with residents and city departments to improve tree equity in underserved areas.
